A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
20th Century Fox Film, a global leader in movie and television production and distribution, faced the challenges of the Digital Age: shrinking market windows, growing demand for on‑demand delivery across devices and geographies, and rising piracy. To modernize its media supply chain and accelerate secure global distribution, 20th Century Fox Film partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and adopted the HPE Helion hybrid cloud (built on HPE Helion CloudSystem) to digitize and automate content workflows.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented the Fox Media Cloud—combining HPE Helion with Open Text Media Manager and Akamai—to automate over 70 digital media scenarios and enable direct file‑based delivery to broadcasters. The platform added more than 3 million assets, distributes ~150,000 items per month, handled over 1.3 Exabytes/year, cut provisioning from five weeks to 15 minutes, reduced data center footprint by 70%, shifted 50% of IT resources to service brokering, and delivered millions in annual cost savings while reducing delivery times from weeks to minutes.
