S&P Capital IQ, a leading provider of financial and industry data, needed to bring its extensive business intelligence directly into the Salesforce workflow so sales teams and recruiters could quickly find, screen, and store prospect and executive profiles. Facing a tight five‑week deadline to launch on the Salesforce AppExchange before Dreamforce, S&P Capital IQ partnered with cloud‑technology firm Cervello to build a secure, integrated solution.
Cervello developed a custom Salesforce app on the Heroku platform—using Java, Node.js, Ruby and Heroku Postgres plus monitoring, logging, scheduling, DNS, and email add‑ons—to accelerate development, simplify scaling, and pass Salesforce’s security review. The AppExchange app lets users filter the S&P Capital IQ database by geography, size, revenue, industry or executive criteria and import complete company or contact profiles into Salesforce with a click, streamlining lead qualification and recruiting workflows.
