Spiro Technologies, a Boston startup founded in 2014, created an intelligent mobile sales assistant to help busy field reps who struggle to juggle many opportunities, territories, and quotas and often don’t know “what to focus on next.” Their mission is to breathe dramatic improvements into salespeople’s workflows by surfacing the highest-value next actions and minimizing data-entry friction.
Spiro integrates with Salesforce and pulls contacts, opportunities, email, and calendar data to recommend next-best activities through a fast, touch-first UI, plus gamified rewards to boost engagement. Built on Heroku with Ruby on Rails and Heroku Postgres (plus add-ons for monitoring, backups, and analytics), the app scaled quickly and was easy to deploy; beta users reported closing more deals, staying better organized, and earning more revenue.
