A Heroku Case Study
Elycio Talen, a Netherlands‑based provider of language and cross‑cultural training for business, nonprofit, and government professionals, needed to modernize its course administration. Their legacy Microsoft Access enrollment system was siloed and no longer supported a seamless user experience or efficient program administration, creating friction for students and staff alike.
Working with Gen25, Elycio Talen built a single integrated platform with Salesforce as the CRM and two customer‑facing Python/Django apps hosted on Heroku. Heroku Connect, Heroku Postgres and Postmark tied the apps to the backend for real‑time data sync, streamlined enrollment with placement exams, and a student “Classbook” dashboard for coursework and communications. The new system delivered smoother administration, increased enrollments and active users, and fewer customer service calls.
