Zenrez is a San Francisco–based startup that helps users discover and book curated boutique fitness classes at the last minute with pay‑as‑you‑go pricing. The company needed a way to surface up‑to‑date class options and handle frequent schedule updates without manual work, while avoiding the time and cost of managing infrastructure or hiring DevOps.

Zenrez rebuilt its platform on Heroku (Node.js back end, Angular/React front end, MongoDB via Compose) and uses Heroku Add‑ons, Scheduler, CircleCI, Stripe and the MINDBODY API, plus message queues, worker dynos and Iron.io to automate data syncs, background jobs and payments. The move delivered faster deployments, low operational overhead, quick support when issues arose, and cost‑effective scaling—fueling steady growth, new funding and expansion into 12+ U.S. cities.
