Heroku and Salesforce Power New Zealand’s First Licensed Peer-to-Peer Lending Platform

Harmoney, founded in 2014 in Auckland, is New Zealand’s first licensed peer-to-peer lending platform, created to bring clarity, transparency, and fairness to consumer lending. The company needed a secure, scalable, 100% online system to manage loan origination, customer relationships, risk, multi-currency readiness, and integrations with credit, identity and payment services — all while moving quickly to market and delivering a trusted borrower–lender experience.

Harmoney built a custom loan-origination platform on Heroku with Heroku Postgres and a suite of add-ons, and integrated Salesforce Sales Cloud, Pardot and FinancialForce for CRM, marketing and accounting. The result was a fully automated online process delivered in eight months, with approvals in 10–15 minutes, 95% of loans funded within 24 hours, fractional investments from $25, lower costs and improved customer experience, plus real-time analytics to drive growth and risk management.
