A Heroku Case Study
Adim Adim is a volunteer‑based Turkish nonprofit that mobilizes fundraising by connecting runners, donors, and NGOs around charity races. Facing a cultural gap in individual giving and strained by manual operations—65k lines of participant data in Excel and twice‑weekly updates—the organization needed a scalable digital platform to improve engagement and grow support.
Working with Cloudteam, Adim Adim implemented Salesforce for Nonprofits (Lightning, MailChimp) and built a cross‑platform public app on Heroku (PHP/Yii) using Heroku Postgres and Heroku Connect, plus a Yuvarla payment gateway. Data migration took one day; credit‑card donations jumped from 5% to 70%, and the Istanbul Marathon grew from 40 participants raising $20k to 1,500 raising $750k. Individual giving in Turkey rose from about 10% to over 30% for causes Adim Adim supports, positioning the group for further scale.
