Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, a diverse urban school of about 1,300 students perched on San Francisco’s Cathedral Hill, needed a way to extend its successful PlascoTrac/PowerSchool discipline workflows beyond a single room. Though PlascoTrac automated checks and saved administrative time, limited mobility and device constraints kept programs from expanding into classrooms, hallways, and offsite events. To solve this, the school adopted Hero K12’s cloud-based Hero platform for schoolwide behavior and program tracking.

Hero K12 delivered a browser- and mobile-accessible solution that integrates with PowerSchool, enabling staff to record behavior and attendance anywhere and launch new initiatives quickly. The change let more staff participate, simplified check-in/out for events like blood drives, and supported a new wellness program in which only five students haven’t checked into the fitness center this year—demonstrating measurable uptake. By moving to Hero K12, Sacred Heart expanded monitoring and engagement across campus while reducing administrative overhead.
