Pike High School - Customer Case Study

Pike High School, a 2,850‑student school in Indianapolis, struggled with excessive tardiness and students loitering in hallways after bells. To tackle this, Pike engaged vendor Hero K12 to deploy the PlascoTrac attendance and behavior‑management system.

Hero K12 installed PlascoTrac at Pike in August 2009 and within two months the school reported a 50% drop in tardiness. PlascoTrac automated tardy tracking and Skyward entries, returned roughly 10 minutes of instructional time per class, monitors nearly 20 student actions (from cutting class to ID compliance), supports behavior‑management and “clean slate” policies for habitual offenders, and even handles Learning Center attendance for grant compliance.
