How One Administrator Successfully Implemented a School-Wide Positive Behavior Program

Ben Lomond High School, led by Assistant Principal Roger Snow, needed a reliable way to define and reinforce positive behavior school‑wide and to bridge a gap between their SIS and discipline processes. To address that challenge they implemented a school‑wide PBIS program using Hero K12’s online PBIS tool, with a focus on teacher ease-of-use and student engagement.

Hero K12 worked with Roger to pilot the program with teacher volunteers and student leaders, launching a points-and-rewards system, student-made instructional videos, and streamlined teacher workflows. The result was broad staff buy-in, rising student engagement and reward redemptions, and clearer, trackable data on positive behaviors—helping Ben Lomond create a more positive school culture while making PBIS simple to manage across the school.
