A Hero K12 Case Study
Cleveland School of the Arts, a selective arts-focused high school with a 98% graduation rate, was struggling with chronic tardies, unserved detentions and a paper-based tracking system that created lost records and excessive administrative work. To address this, in August 2016 the school turned to Hero K12, adopting their digital attendance and behavior tracking platform to replace manual tardy sheets and detention logs.
Using Hero K12’s tools to record tardies, pull reports and manage detentions (including a Saturday-school consequence list), CSA streamlined accountability and parent communications. The results were dramatic: tardies to class dropped 80%, tardies to school fell 50%, and the rate of detentions served increased 75%, while paperwork and administrative burden were substantially reduced.
