Achieving Essential 8 Compliance Town of Victoria Park Unifies Security for Operational Excellence

The Town of Victoria Park, a local government authority in Western Australia, needed to replace a fragmented security stack made up of seven or more point solutions while also meeting strict Australian Essential 8 compliance requirements. The organization also struggled with unreliable device provisioning through Intune Autopilot and lacked effective privilege elevation and access controls. Heimdal Security was brought in to help unify and simplify its endpoint security operations.

Heimdal Security implemented a consolidated platform including Application Control, Privilege Elevation and Delegation Management, Next-Gen Antivirus & Firewall, Patch & Asset Management with Infinity Management, MXDR, and Remote Desktop. The result was Essential 8 compliance readiness, reduced tool sprawl and management overhead, improved device deployment workflows, and stronger threat detection than the Town’s previous MSSP. Heimdal Security also helped cut support requests through self-service installs and enabled an Australian data center to support local data residency needs.
