Cégep de Saint-Laurent, a college in Montreal, wanted a better way to manage equipment loans and inventory across departments, especially as its digital transformation accelerated. Its manual reservation process, lack of real-time visibility, synchronization issues with systems like Azure and Omnivox, and inability to loan equipment to employees made asset management difficult, so it turned to Hector for a cloud-based solution.
Hector provided web-based inventory management with online reservations, real-time availability, secure access for students and staff, and API integration with existing systems. As a result, Cégep de Saint-Laurent now manages 13 stockrooms and more than 5,000 assets, with improved traceability, fewer errors, better communication, and a smoother user experience; about 30 employees use Hector and are very pleased with the platform.
