Cégep de Jonquière’s Department of Art and Media Technology needed a better way to manage equipment reservations and inventory for more than 400 people. Their old paper-based, single-user process required students to book in person, created poor visibility into available equipment, and made it hard to coordinate approvals across programs.

The college implemented Hector’s cloud-based inventory management and online reservation system, allowing students to book equipment through a catalogue, while teachers could approve or deny requests online in real time. Hector improved planning, resource allocation, and visibility of available gear, and the gradual rollout was well received by students and teachers. The case study highlights that Hector’s flexible pricing and responsive support helped Cégep de Jonquière modernize without the cost and complexity of other systems.
