Hendrick Medical Center, part of Hendrick Health System in Abilene, Texas, partnered with Healthfuse to address a lack of visibility into the performance of 15 revenue cycle vendors. The hospital suspected some vendors were overstating success, but it did not have reliable data to confirm discrepancies or ensure ongoing compliance and maximum collections.

Healthfuse used its AutoRecon application to perform cross-vendor inventory reconciliation and identify noncompliance issues, including duplicate account work, improper agency coding, and inaccurate vendor reporting. As a result, Hendrick Medical Center implemented a standardized bi-weekly report card across all vendors, improved cross-vendor inventory compliance from 39% to 72% in the first five months, and achieved a 27:1 ROI, along with $1.08M in new initiative collections and $184K in cost savings.
