Wellesley College - Customer Case Study

Wellesley College partnered with Health Enhancement Systems (HES) to support student, faculty/staff, and alumnae well-being during a time of hybrid learning and reduced in-person connection. The college needed a flexible way to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and community across generations while managing limited staff capacity.

Using HES’s Walktober online walking challenge, Wellesley relaunched the program with creative engagement features like class-color competition, a global participant heat map, pop-up prize days, and message-board interaction. The results were strong: Walktober launched for 2,591 participants in 2020 and grew to about 300 student participants by 2022, with alumnae making up the majority of participants and sharing enthusiastic feedback about connection, motivation, and community.
