Well-U Health & Wellness, the Office of Total Rewards team at the University of Rochester, needed a better way to run engaging employee wellness challenges for 30,000 geographically dispersed employees. Working with **Health Enhancement Systems (HES)**, they sought a program that could motivate a wide range of participants, not just the most active employees, while keeping participation high across their twice-yearly wellness challenges.

With **Health Enhancement Systems**, Well-U implemented inclusive wellness challenges built around multiple ways to win, prize drawings based on consistency, participant choice in rewards, and strong promotion through channels like email, newsletters, TV screens, and a Champion Network. The result was consistently high participation and completion year after year, over 80 prizes awarded per challenge, and increasing engagement from their first challenge in 2019 onward.
