O'Reilly Auto Parts Well-Being Program Goes Social, Mobile, Custom

O'Reilly Auto Parts, a national retailer with about 50,000 benefit-eligible employees across 5,000+ U.S. locations, moved away from in-house wellness challenges to address inconsistent engagement and limited computer access at many store locations. In 2017 they partnered with Health Enhancement Systems to deploy HES well-being campaigns, mobile apps, social features, and a branded custom program called Keep O’Reilly Active.

Health Enhancement Systems implemented web- and mobile-based campaigns with buddies, teams, leaderboards, a social wall, messaging, and a custom O’Reilly-themed challenge. The impact was measurable: mobile users were 18% more likely to complete the program and logged 13 more days on average; team participants logged 15 more days, earned 66% more points and were 24% more likely to reach goals; buddies logged 21 more days, were 30% more likely to succeed and earned 81% more points. Registration for Keep O’Reilly Active nearly doubled versus the previous campaign and completion rates were 12% higher for the custom implementation.
