Large Healthcare Organization faced a time-consuming, error-prone process for collecting and reporting patient satisfaction (CAHPS and LTR) data—analysts manually pulled roughly 30 reports each month and outsourced dashboard work—making it difficult to integrate satisfaction metrics with clinical and financial data for quality improvement. To address this, the organization engaged Health Catalyst and leveraged its Late-Binding™ Data Warehouse along with the Patient Satisfaction Explorer and related applications and services.
Health Catalyst implemented a patient satisfaction data mart on the EDW and deployed the Patient Satisfaction Explorer to automate dashboards, enable drill-downs by location/provider/demographics, and integrate satisfaction data into quality initiatives (including the Population Health – Heart Failure Advanced Application). As a result, the Large Healthcare Organization automated its dashboard, eliminated outsourcing, kept data in-house, improved responsiveness to one-off requests, and integrated patient experience into clinical analyses—replacing ~30 monthly manual report pulls and supporting distribution to more than 100 locations.
