A HCSS Case Study
Baranko Bros. Inc., a dirt contractor with job sites across a 100-mile radius, installed more than 220 HCSS GPS units to rein in fuel costs and rampant speeding. The company struggled to track trucks that were being used off-hours and was seeing as many as 12 speeding incidents in a single day during installation.
By deploying HCSS GPS—including 10 geo-fences and asset trackers—and integrating the data with HCSS HeavyJob, Baranko Bros. quickly cut unauthorized use, slashed speeding violations (to just three in a recent month), and reduced idle time (one dozer showed only 30 minutes of work in 12 hours of run time). Fuel savings in the first two weeks paid for roughly half the system cost, and the GPS units also helped locate lost equipment, deter theft, and improve job reporting and fleet management.
