A HB Communications Case Study
Mitsubishi Corporation, a global industry leader with its U.S. headquarters in Midtown Manhattan, needed a major design and technology update to its boardroom and surrounding meeting spaces. HB Communications was selected to solve the challenge of fitting high-quality audio, video, and remote participation capabilities into a large, low-ceiling room with over 44 seats, where there could be no “bad” seats and the existing analog technology no longer reflected the company’s image.
HB Communications transformed the space with 22 Arthur Holm Dynamic display and microphone lifts, each rising from the table to provide every participant with a personal 21" LCD, microphone, and controls, plus seven strategically placed PTZ cameras tied to Crestron control. HB Communications also added backup systems, a nearby control room with one-way mirror monitoring, overflow conference rooms, and digital signage. The result was a seamless, collaborative conference center that drew spontaneous applause from Mitsubishi’s management, with successful delivery enabled by early workflow meetings and careful coordination to meet critical deadlines.
