SunGard Asset Management needed to modernize its risk management and reporting after regulatory pressures exposed the limitations of legacy, batch-oriented RDBMS workflows. Hazelcast implemented a complete overhaul of SunGard’s risk architecture—building analytics grids, market and security masters, reporting engines, and tooling on Hazelcast IMDG—enabling data transform and ingestion in microseconds, greatly reduced latency, faster time-to-production, and lower operational and hardware costs. The Hazelcast-based solution decreased risk exposure through more timely reporting and analytics and is now deployed as SunGard’s product foundation at major financial institutions worldwide.
