A Hazelcast Case Study

Preview of the Gamesys Case Study

Gamesys - Customer Case Study

Gamesys, a leading online gaming company, needed a highly available, elastic and cost‑effective way to store game state for both real‑money and social platforms while protecting player funds and supporting tens of thousands of concurrent players. After evaluating options, Gamesys selected Hazelcast and its Hazelcast IMDG product to meet requirements for redundancy, idempotent action handling, low latency and fast scale‑out.

Hazelcast IMDG was deployed embedded in application nodes and used alongside Gamesys’s NoSQL database as the system of record; the solution was validated with 100,000 concurrent user sessions. Hazelcast delivered fast reads/writes, horizontal scalability, higher throughput and lower latency, simplified operations via Hazelcast Management Center, and features like Rolling Upgrades that reduced downtime releases and boosted business continuity. As a result, Hazelcast became a go‑to technology at Gamesys, also being used for messaging and wider distributed system capabilities.
