CAEPC, the Central Asian Electric Power Corporation, is Kazakhstan’s largest electricity company, with more than 10,000 staff and over two million customers. As the business added more than 50,000 new customers each year, its customer onboarding process became disjointed and cumbersome across multiple systems, creating inefficiencies and poor transparency. Haulmont’s THESIS product was selected to help automate this complex document flow without requiring a complete redesign of the process.
Haulmont customized THESIS to support CAEPC’s onboarding workflow with minimal development, delivering automation and much greater visibility across departments. The solution was rolled out across the corporation and now handles technical documents, customer documentation, and approvals, reducing onboarding processing time by 20–50% and paper usage by 70%. It also supports over 3,000 active users and processes more than 1,700 documents per day, and was later expanded by Haulmont into mailroom, Procurement, ERP, and Personnel integrations.
