BlackCab grows to over 500 vehicles with Sherlock Taxi dispatch system
BlackCab Romania, a private hire and taxi company in Bucharest, needed to modernize quickly as app-based competitors like Uber entered the market. To scale its retail service, diversify offerings, and support corporate accounts, BlackCab turned to Haulmont and its Sherlock Taxi dispatch system, including smartphone apps and auto-allocation tools.
Haulmont implemented Sherlock with no business disruption, giving BlackCab intuitive iOS and Android apps, flexible account management, and configurable travel policies. The results were strong: BlackCab grew from 30 vehicles to a 500-car fleet, increased output from a few hundred jobs per week to tens of thousands, auto-allocated 99% of jobs, and now handles about one third of its work through corporate accounts.
