A Rideshare, Scheduling and Fleet Management Solution

Tristar, part of Addison Lee, needed a better way to manage free VIP car travel for Saga Cruises customers after taking over the service in 2016. Its mix of legacy systems and manual processes for allocating passengers to vehicles made scheduling inefficient and limited real-time visibility, making it harder for controllers to meet strict customer service SLAs. Haulmont was brought in to help modernize the operation with a web-based scheduling and fleet management solution.

Haulmont built a standalone CUBA-based web application that ingested passenger and driver/vehicle data feeds, automated rideshare planning and vehicle allocation, and routed uncovered jobs to Tristar or affiliate partners with manual sign-off. The solution now processes 16,000 jobs per month at peak, calculates rideshares for about 90% of jobs, and handles around 2.7 million journey miles each month, up 22% year on year. It also reduced the cruise embarkation/disembarkation process from over two hours to just 30 seconds.
