A leading ice-cream brand faced the challenge of building a strong consumer claim, specifically to be known as 'the ice-cream of ice-creams,' which was backed by thousands of real purchases across five different countries. The brand needed to achieve this goal in under one month. To meet this challenge, they partnered with the vendor Hashting and utilized its digital coupon technology.
Hashting implemented a solution using WhatsApp to distribute digital coupons and run a cashback promotion. Consumers were encouraged to buy an ice-cream and then get a 100% refund by completing a form and a survey. This process allowed Hashting to collect 6,000 real testimonials, photos, and feedback. The campaign successfully reached new and lapsed users, with two-thirds of the buyers falling into those categories, and provided the verifiable purchase data the brand needed to powerfully back up its claim.
