BetterHelp, the world’s largest online therapy company, needed to scale its platform from a small colocation setup to a modern cloud-based infrastructure while supporting rapid growth and frequent deployments. Working with HashiCorp, they adopted Nomad alongside Consul and Vault to help build an immutable infrastructure workflow for their services.

HashiCorp’s Nomad-based solution enabled BetterHelp to containerize its platform and streamline operations across a primary cluster of 40 to 80 hosts with around 500 tasks running at any time. The results included over 2,000 batch task launches per day, about 4 application pushes per workday hour, and an average 60% reduction in raw compute cost.
