Case Study: SPH Media accelerates cloud modernization with HashiCorp

A HashiCorp Case Study

Preview of the SPH Media Case Study

Singapore media company modernizes its cloud operating model

SPH Media, a leading Singapore media group, wanted to modernize its cloud operating model to support a cloud-first digital transformation, improve governance and security, and attract technical talent. The company faced complex AWS and on-premises infrastructure, low network visibility, IP address constraints, and a need for standardized developer tools and dynamic credentials management. To address these challenges, SPH Media turned to HashiCorp Cloud Platform, including Terraform, Vault, Consul, Boundary, and Packer.

HashiCorp helped SPH Media standardize and automate its cloud estate with a federated self-service model, policy as code, drift detection, and reusable modules for developers. The results included 95% fewer misconfigurations, standardized governance across hundreds of AWS accounts, stronger security and visibility, and a reduction in application deployment time from 3 months to 2 weeks. HashiCorp also enabled SPH Media to publish 17+ open-source modules and support 200 developers with a 20-person cloud platform team.
