Multi-Tenant Workloads & Automated Compliance with Nomad & the HashiStack at Exact Sciences

Exact Sciences, a healthcare and cancer screening company, needed a way to develop and operate workloads in a highly regulated industry while maintaining strong compliance, governance, and efficiency. To support its migration of internal applications to AWS, the company turned to HashiCorp Nomad along with Terraform, Vault, and Consul to build a multi-tenant platform that could handle many workloads, accounts, and teams without adding operational complexity.

Using HashiCorp, Exact Sciences automated cluster provisioning, identity and access management, secrets handling, and policy enforcement across its AWS multi-account environment. The result was a highly available, scalable, and more secure platform with standardized governance, simplified deployments, and lower operational overhead, while giving engineers self-service access and the freedom to innovate within compliant guardrails.
