IDT Updating Secrets in Seconds with HashiCorp Consul on AWS

IDT Corporation needed a secure way to manage and update configuration secrets across its containerized applications running on AWS. Working with HashiCorp, the company used HashiCorp Consul as part of its infrastructure to simplify secret and configuration management at scale.

HashiCorp implemented Consul alongside Amazon S3, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and Amazon EC2 Elastic Container Service, using Consul both for service discovery and as an encrypted key-value store. As a result, IDT was able to update keys across large portions of its distributed applications in seconds, significantly speeding up secret changes and improving operational efficiency.
