Roblox, the gaming platform with more than 100 million monthly active users, needed a simpler way to migrate to containerized infrastructure while supporting both Windows and Linux containers during the transition. The company partnered with HashiCorp and used Nomad as part of the HashiStack to handle this migration with a lean infrastructure team.

HashiCorp’s Nomad, along with Consul and Vault, gave Roblox operational simplicity, broad workload support, and easy containerization, while Portworx was added for reliable storage. The result was a mostly managed platform run by just four people, helping Roblox modernize its infrastructure efficiently while maintaining support for mixed workloads.
