Case Study: Snowplow Analytics automates private multi-cloud SaaS infrastructure at scale with HashiCorp

A HashiCorp Case Study

Preview of the Snowplow Analytics Case Study

How Snowplow Automates Private SaaS Infrastructure Across AWS and GCP at Scale

Snowplow Analytics, an open-source data collection platform with a private SaaS model, needed to manage more than 150 isolated customer environments across AWS and GCP. Because each client has its own stack, scaling needs, and upgrade cadence, Snowplow had to keep infrastructure consistent, secure, and up to date while coordinating many different components and cloud environments.

Using the HashiCorp stack—especially Terraform, Consul, Vault, Nomad, and related automation—Snowplow built a system to standardize deployments, manage secrets and configuration, and automate upgrades and monitoring across customer environments. With HashiCorp, the team can deploy and upgrade multiple minis at once, including 100-at-a-time rollouts, while tracking health in Grafana and responding through Slack-driven automation, reducing manual work and improving operational control at scale.
