How Deluxe Uses the Complete HashiStack for Video Production

Deluxe Entertainment partnered with HashiCorp to modernize its highly complex digital supply chain for video production and content distribution. The company needed to automate workflows for massive media assets—often hundreds of gigabytes each—while meeting strict security requirements, handling content isolation, and scaling across a mix of cloud and on-premises environments. HashiCorp products used included Terraform, Nomad, Consul, and Vault.

HashiCorp helped Deluxe build an open, modular platform that orchestrates microservices for ingest, transcoding, localization, fingerprinting, and delivery. Nomad is used to schedule workloads close to where content lives, while Consul- and Fabio-based networking supports secure service exposure, and Vault helps manage secrets and security controls. The result is a highly automated system that supports about 4.5 to 5 petabytes of monthly content distribution, 30,000 ingested assets per month, and 7 million minutes processed per month, while still meeting a 99.99% SLA.
