Case Study: Boston Consulting Group achieves secure, scalable machine learning with HashiCorp

A HashiCorp Case Study

How BCG Used the HashiStack to Build a Secure, On-Demand, and Scalable Machine Learning Engine

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) needed a way to build and run production-grade machine learning across many client engagements while keeping sensitive data isolated, secure, and reproducible. Using HashiCorp’s stack, including Vault, Terraform, and Packer, BCG built its “Source” AI platform to support the full analytics lifecycle without relying on brittle, manual infrastructure processes.

HashiCorp helped BCG create a secure, on-demand, and scalable ML engine with dynamic per-user/per-cluster credentials, repeatable infrastructure provisioning, and portable cloud deployment. The result was a system that could go from zero to full deployment in a few hours and spin up new client cases in about 10–12 minutes, with isolated environments to prevent data leakage and enable clients to pause and resume work safely.
