Cimpress, a global leader in branding and promotional printing, needed a more scalable way to manage secrets across its 13 autonomous business units. As the company expanded across clouds and faced differing security and regulatory requirements, its existing on-premise secrets management tool became difficult to maintain, too manual, and risky for protecting sensitive credentials and customer data.

HashiCorp helped Cimpress implement Vault Enterprise to create isolated namespaces for each business unit, centrally manage secrets, and automate token and credential generation across its environments. With HashiCorp Vault, Cimpress now generates more than 150,000 tokens and AWS access credentials per day, saves dozens of team work hours each week, and reduces errors and downtime by eliminating manual copy-and-paste secrets handling.
