OpenCredo, a hands-on consultancy and premier HashiCorp partner, worked with clients building an e-commerce platform on AWS using Terraform and Kubernetes. Their challenge was how to evolve infrastructure safely as it grew—from a single laptop-based proof of concept into separate test and production environments—without risking accidental changes to production.

HashiCorp Terraform was used to introduce clearer environment separation, reusable modules, nested modules, and later isolated service-based state management with remote state backends such as S3. This reduced duplication, improved readability and maintainability, and helped prevent accidental cross-environment or cross-service changes. While no specific numeric metrics were given, the shift delivered better operational safety, team collaboration, and a path toward more scalable infrastructure management.
