Case Study: Blackstone Federal achieves a multi-tenant, cloud-agnostic federal platform with HashiCorp

A HashiCorp Case Study

Preview of the Blackstone Federal Case Study

A Multi-Tenant, Cloud-Agnostic Platform for the Federal Government

Blackstone Federal, a government consulting firm, needed a way to provision a greenfield, multi-tenant, cloud-agnostic platform for a federal agency moving workloads to the cloud. The challenge was to support lift-and-shift migration, strict security boundaries, multiple environments, and different cloud service providers without locking tenants into one toolset or infrastructure model. HashiCorp products featured in the approach included Packer, Vault, Terraform, and Consul.

HashiCorp helped Blackstone Federal design a reusable DevSecOps platform with end-to-end infrastructure provisioning, including secure hub-and-spoke networking, hardened images, shared services, and tenant-specific environments. The solution used infrastructure as code, common modules, tagging and naming standards, and automated configuration to accelerate deployments while keeping tenants isolated. The result was a highly productive platform that reduced the time and cost needed to stand up cloud environments and simplified repeatable deployment for federal applications.
