A HarperDB Case Study
The U.S. Army sought to increase its situational awareness and tactical edge by needing a system for real-time computing and decision support at the extreme edge. They required a solution to capture and orchestrate data, including AI models, across a distributed network. To meet this challenge, they partnered with vendor HarperDB.
HarperDB implemented a holistic, three-tier analytics platform to collect and synchronize facial recognition data in real-time from the edge to a command center. The solution provided bidirectional data and logic movement, allowing the Army to instantly update rules engines and AI models from a central command to adjust threat detection priorities on the fly. HarperDB's technology enhanced security through edge data filtering and delivered a single interface to manage all distributed instances, significantly improving real-time alerting and operational efficiency.
