Ulta Beauty, the largest U.S. beauty retailer, wanted to improve its guest experience by building a more modern “digital store of the future,” but its move from on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud created friction in the delivery process. The company needed a faster, more transparent continuous delivery approach, and turned to Harness Continuous Delivery & GitOps to reduce manual work and better support developers.

With Harness, Ulta Beauty organized Helm charts, reused variables across CI/CD pipelines, integrated with Jira, and enabled faster environment spin-up, canary deployments, and ephemeral environments. The result was a major boost in delivery speed and efficiency: deployment volumes increased 50x, time-to-market improved, and the team expanded use of Harness across seven additional projects, saving months of work and thousands of hours for developers and DevOps teams.
