The Warehouse Group Decreases Lead Time For Changes by 99.1%

The Warehouse Group, New Zealand’s largest retailer, needed a more consistent and efficient way to support its DevOps squads across multiple brands. Using Harness Continuous Delivery and GitOps, the company set out to replace bespoke, manual deployment processes, reduce long onboarding times, and eliminate bottlenecks caused by testing and approval delays.

Harness helped The Warehouse Group implement a standardized, template-driven “Golden Path” for software delivery with ServiceNow integration, API-first automation, and cloud-based deployment. As a result, squads could onboard in seconds, start building and deploying in about 30 minutes, and deploy on-demand; lead time for changes dropped from 120 hours to 1 hour, saving some teams up to 100 development hours and significantly improving squad autonomy and delivery speed.
