Ruckus Scaled Kubernetes Continuous Delivery With GitOps

RUCKUS Networks, an IT company in the Americas, needed a faster way to onboard and deploy more than 40 new Kubernetes microservices after moving from monolithic VM-based environments to a cloud-native architecture. Its existing service-specific pipelines were hard to reuse, and setting up a new Kubernetes application could take DevOps up to a week. RUCKUS Networks turned to Harness Continuous Delivery and GitOps to address the challenge.

With Harness, the DevOps team created reusable pipeline templates that developers could instantiate with service-specific parameters, while managing pipelines, services, environments, Helm, and Kubernetes configuration as code. Harness helped RUCKUS Networks cut new service onboarding time by 80% to same-business-day, reduce DevOps onboarding effort from 38 weeks to 38 days, avoid about $250,000 in MVP platform build costs, and improve the CD process time-to-market by 92% from 6 months to 2 weeks.
