Ruckus Networks Scales Continuous Delivery with Harness GitOps

RUCKUS Networks, a builder of converged wired and wireless networks, was migrating from monolith VM applications to Kubernetes microservices and struggled with slow, service-specific CI/CD: onboarding a new microservice could take a week and pipelines couldn’t handle containers, Helm charts, or Kubernetes config. To solve this, RUCKUS turned to Harness and adopted Harness GitOps (Harness’s Continuous Delivery-as-a-Service) to enable pipeline templating and GitOps-based self-service for developers.

Using Harness, RUCKUS’ DevOps team created reusable pipeline templates that developers instantiate from their Git repos; three templates onboarded 40+ Kubernetes microservices in days. Harness reduced onboarding time by 80% (from one week to same day), cut DevOps onboarding effort from 38 weeks to 38 days, enabled two DevOps engineers to scale CI/CD across 40+ services and 40+ engineers, avoided $250,000 in build costs, and shortened CD delivery from six months to two weeks.
