The Home Depot QuoteCenter team faced a pressing need to implement automated Continuous Delivery across a complex microservices environment. Legacy Jenkins jobs and an inventory of scripts made pipeline creation slow and onboarding difficult, secrets were scattered across Consul/Kubernetes/Jenkins, and reliable canary deployments were not possible. To address this, The Home Depot partnered with Harness and adopted the Harness Continuous Delivery-as-a-Service platform.
Harness provided a managed CD platform with built-in configuration and secrets management, native Kubernetes and canary support, templated pipelines, and hands-on help from its customer success team to add custom features. The result: pipeline creation dropped from days to about 5 minutes, new developer onboarding fell from weeks to days, managers gained a single source-of-truth deployment view, and The Home Depot now has a repeatable, scalable CD process for microservices.
