Case Study: ConsumerTrack achieves 92% faster deployments with Harness

A Harness Case Study

Preview of the ConsumerTrack Case Study

Delivers Kubernetes Apps in 3 Hours

ConsumerTrack, which helps brands connect with smart, aspirational audiences, was migrating applications to Kubernetes on AWS and needed to onboard 4 existing and 20 new services. Deployments were manual, ticketed, and often babysat by two DevOps engineers and a developer per team; promoting code to QA and production could take hours, and onboarding a single Kubernetes service required about two weeks of DevOps time—projected to cost roughly $290,000 over the year.

Harness delivered its Continuous Delivery platform (Harness CD), providing self-service, reusable deployment pipelines, automated end-to-end promotions, and ML-driven verifications integrated with Datadog, Splunk and Prometheus. As a result, ConsumerTrack cut commit-to-production time by 92% (from ~3 hours to 15 minutes), reduced deployment effort by 16 hours per day (saving the equivalent of 2 DevOps FTEs, ~$290,000), slashed onboarding time per service from 80 hours to 3 hours (96% reduction), reduced onboarding of 24 services from 96 weeks to 72 hours, and achieved total first-year savings of about $580,000; developers now deploy and troubleshoot their own releases.
