Case Study: Beachbody accelerates AWS migration to 3 months and cuts QA time by 92% with Harness

A Harness Case Study

Preview of the Beachbody Case Study

Beachbody avoided the headache associated with cloud migrations by leveraging Harness continuous delivery

Beachbody, creator of popular fitness programs like P90X and INSANITY, needed to migrate from on‑prem monoliths to an AWS cloud-native stack (Kubernetes microservices and Lambda). Their Jenkins-based CI/CD was brittle, manual, and costly, with production deployments requiring 6–8 people and lengthy QA and onboarding times. After evaluating alternatives, Beachbody adopted the Harness Continuous Delivery-as-a-Service platform to address these pain points.

Harness implemented automated CD across AWS, Kubernetes and Lambda with GitOps, Terraform integration, OKTA SSO, pipeline templates, RBAC and AI/ML‑based deployment verification integrated with Dynatrace and Elastic. As a result Beachbody accelerated its cloud migration from 1 year to 3 months, reduced QA testing time by 92 (to under 5 minutes), cut onboarding from 3 days to 2 hours, reduced deployment effort ~90% (from 7 people/90 mins to 3 people/20 mins), doubled production deployment velocity in 3 months, and deferred $600,000 in DevOps build costs.
