HarfangLab protects Université Paris Cité’s 75,000 users against cyber threats, while meeting the institution’s budgetary constraints

Université Paris Cité, a major university with 75,000 users, needed to protect its 10,000 endpoints against cyber threats while operating under significant budgetary constraints. The institution also lacked the internal resources to recruit and train a dedicated security team to oversee tools and analyze data. They sought a sovereign, GDPR-compliant solution and chose the EDR product from vendor HarfangLab.

HarfangLab, deployed and operated by partner Orange Cyber Défense, provided a scalable and modular EDR solution. The implementation was specially adapted for the university's structure, giving the CISO oversight of multiple departments. This solution provides the university’s security team with immediate, optimum protection, functioning as a micro-SOC that allows for full visibility of the IT infrastructure and the ability to isolate devices if necessary. HarfangLab enabled the university to meet its security goals without the need for a long internal training process.
