True.nl, a managed hosting company in the Netherlands, needed to simplify its complex Advanced Security Platform while improving security and performance. The platform had become difficult to explain and sell, and it relied on overlapping NGINX and HAProxy components to deliver protection features that still fell short of the team’s goals.

True.nl redesigned the platform with HAProxy Enterprise, using its integrated WAF, bot management, Layer 7 rate limiting, active health checks, hitless reloads, JavaScript Challenge, and a custom reCAPTCHA module built by HAProxy. The new setup improved stability, performance, and security, while giving True.nl a more compelling offering for customers and better observability through log export and server-level monitoring.
