Equity Residential To Deploy HappyCo Mobile Property-Inspection Technology

HappyCo partnered with Equity Residential to replace the company's paper-based inspection process with a mobile solution. Equity, which manages over 80,000 units across 310 locations, needed a way to document unit conditions and associate photos with inspections more efficiently than filling out paper forms and handling hundreds of individual images.

Equity deployed HappyCo’s Inspector app on iPhones, iPads and Android devices—putting nearly 500 users and more than 300 iPads into the field—and integrated it with their property management system. The app, which works online or offline, enabled rapid roll-out with minimal training, immediate visibility into move-out inspections, automatic photo-to-record association, and real-time data collection and analysis that streamlined repairs tracking and operational decision-making.
