VOIP Device Automation Testing Framework for Cloud UC Provider

Happiest Minds built a VOIP device automation testing framework for a cloud-based Unified Communications provider to address slow, manual testing cycles. The goal was to create an automation solution targeting Polycom phones (but extensible to other devices) and to automate both web- and device-level test cases to accelerate releases.

The solution automated pushing action/soft keys to Polycom phones during calls, verified call status after each action, and provided a Selenium-friendly interface for test integrations, implemented using .NET/C#, REST APIs, Polycom SDK and Asterix. This approach cut testing cycles and sped releases, made the framework extensible to other device makes, and freed the testing team to focus on new features and exploratory testing.
